Christine DiBlasio received her Doctorate in Psychology in May of 1989 from the University of Vermont.  She completed a two year Post Doctoral Fellowship at the University of Vermont as well.   She is a consultant for FAHC, a member of the American Psychological Association, and has been a clinical assistant professor at the University of Vermont.

 Dr. DiBlasio provides assessment and psychotherapy services for adults, adolescents and children, and works with both individuals and families.   Her approach emphasizes cognitive-behavioral techniques but is individually tailored to the needs of the client(s).  Dr. DiBlasio has worked with a wide range of clinical issues across the lifespan, with areas of special interest and expertise including anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, parenting concerns, behavioral difficulties, life changes related to medical issues, relationship issues and women’s issues.  

Dr. DiBlasio frequently provides consultation to other providers, schools, and agencies, and has been an invited speaker for a variety of workshops and trainings for professionals.  She also has over 16 years experience conducting comprehensive psychological evaluations within various Vermont school districts, and has served as a consultant and prevention specialist.

 In August of 2006, Dr. DiBlasio earned the rank of 2nd degree Black Belt (Nidan) in Chinese Kenpo Karate. She conducts trainings on women’s self defense and personal safety which blend both her background in psychology and martial arts to provide simple yet effective mental and physical self-defense strategies for women.  She is a strong believer in empowering individuals through knowledge and skills.
